second post of the day.

i was washing the toilet this afternoon, my usual sunday chore, when i thought about issues regarding doing house chores. How many of people i know actually do housework? How many dedicate a day to cleaning the house? There was once when my bro and mum quarreled over house chores. Bro,'How many of ur friends kids our age actually do house work?' mum replied,' many'. i snorted. Truthfully, i only know a hand full who does weekly housework, or maybe even a few fingers of them. Not to insult these people, really i do not have authority to quest and doubt anyone, after all, its their lives. But,surprisingly, these people do not have domestic helpers at home. so now, imagine this, on a Saturday morning, mum and dad has to sweep, mob the entire house while kids yell,'mum.i'm going out now.' mum replies sarcastically, ' oh! have fun . while i slogged like a mad cow' . poor parents have to tire themselves out even after a long and tedious week of earning a living while kids happily skips out of house. somehow, it feels as though the parents owe kids a living and not vice versa. Some kiddos treat their house like a motel and parents like ATM machines. After a happy day out with friends, return 'home' and sleep, run out of cash? no problem, just ask the 'ATM machines' . No card needed , just a sweet smile will do. i remebered asking my dad once, just after my maid left for home, ' dad. i wanna go out later'. dad scowled at me,'only after you complete ur housework' After that incident, i knew the golden rule for weekends.
some might retort and claim,'oh!my parents never ask me do housework or help mah'

Dearest dear, you are after all their children. Do you think they have the heart to say,'sure. help me mop the floor before u go out k.' If so, how would you react? angry at them for delaying your plans? or thankful that they asked ? Weirdly, doing house chores can be quite fun. the whole family gets into action every sat, each playing a part in creating a better home and family. I dont at all detest washing the toilet,in fact, I'm being to love it. i feel a sense of belonging and satisfaction to see the washroom sparkling clean.

thats all i've got. good night
