exams are taking a toil on me, i feel horrendously stifled by the education system. It stinks because its no longer like JC or Secondary school, where the only important exam is 'O' or 'A' levels. Imgaine yourself sitting A levels every 4 months of school. Its really crazy.
Sometimes i wonder why tutors are even paid so much, Universities are suppose to be led/facilitated by some of the best talents around. Ironically, some of them somehow do not go through proper screening if they have ability to deliver. Its so weird/strange how my parents are paying off their retirement money (from cpf), hoping that good standard of education is served. But hey, little did they know we do most of our learning on our own, through reading books and GOOGLING. i love wikipedia. its like my ultimate dictionary, its FREE.
This posts is not to slam universities lectures/professors. I personally met a few that are geniuely educators of society. Its really rare to find uni tutors that are patient and understanding. While others are "er...okie..i get back to you later" . okieee.... Promoting self discovery/learning in uni is one thing, but paying them highly for not producing "quality" work is another issue all together. honestly, what is "faciliated learning?" on what grounds can the tutors start defending themselves on this often used term.
Hence, some transparency on how the tutors were engaged and on what criteras really need to be known.
