today's been a very tiring yet enjoyable day..because we made pineapples tarts!! my auntie (daisy), my mum, bro and I =) auntie and mum grated and cooked the pineapple last week (lots and lots of work, i salute my aunt for that haha) And the entire family got involved in making the pastry from mixing the dough, kneading, pinching,filling,designing,baking..phew! we started at 10am till 4pm!! Nonstop action in the kitchen! we only had 0.5 hour of lunch break haha. Its really hard work and the quantity is very little considering the time we put in. It was very very fun though , my auntie especially haha. my bro and i were laughing like mad about her actions. goodness.
i miss the days when the entire family will make chinese new year goodies at my aunt's place ( auntie lucy). We will make love letters and pineapple tarts at the same time! Fanning the charcoal, my auntie (daisy) will grate the pineapple, auntie lucy will make the mixture for the love letters. and all the kids, mainly my bro, me and vivian will all help out. It was way way fun. it was the time when the entire family (my mum's side) will get into action, churning out nice smelling pastries one after another. However, as time passes, the older generation got lazy and it slowly stopped.. Only when i requested this cny that my auntie decided to make tarts providing my bro and i helped out. Its way too much work..but very very satisfying! i cant wait for the next CNY, we are going to make this green bean cake and hopefully love letters too! but i need to pursude auntie lucy first. She's the best at this!

And i'm still looking for my cny clothes.. -.- one dress and top are still on its way to my place, somewhere with the mail man. Hopefully my VS dress reaches in time too!
